you seriously think that "homeland 'security'" is the most IMPORTANT issue in this election? wow. you are a victim of the media. After several years on the decline, the overall number of transportation fatalities grew from 1992 to 1996, then trended downward through 1998. Since this time, transportation fatalities have been on the rise. While the increases have been small from year-to-year, the trend is headed in the wrong direction. In 1999, there were 41,717 fatalities on our Nation's roadways, up from 41,501 in 1998. In 2000, fatalities amounted to 41,821, a 0.7 percent increase from 1999. For 2001, preliminary estimates report roadway fatalities remained virtually unchanged at 41,730, a slight decrease of 0.2 percent. These fatalities account for more than 95 percent of all transportation deaths. found here: http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/nhtsa/whatis/planning/perf-plans/2003/Index.htmlcompare that to how many people died during the whole 911 thing, or how many total people were killed in Iraq, both our side, and Iraq. Who cares about terrorists? we kill enough of us ourselves. ON OUR OWN SOIL!!! or how about: What’s more, employer-sponsored insurance premiums have jumped 11.2 percent this year, the fourth straight year of double-digit growth, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation, leading some companies to stop offering health benefits to their workers. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5875630/

I inherited the record collection of my boss. It has some pretty sweet stuff, all from the 80's, but good. I am finding out that in the 80's they built entire albums off of one good track. There was a lot of filler material back then, or people were just really shitty song writers, I haven't figured out which. but it is pretty consistent. On almost every record I have listened to, there are only one or two good songs.
I got two more rick james albums, thompson twins, stray cats, madonna's first album, duran duran, the cure, robert palmer(that dude is crazy), 2 david bowie albums, and so much other stuff I have never heard of.
oh yeah.
supertramp= shittiest band I have ever heard

I think the score needs to be re-adjusted. Bush DID NOT win that debate, I am sorry.

I've been pumping the faint album. It's even better than danse macabre.
I just picked up a turntable, so I am rediscovering tons of old music. I hit up half price books yesterday and scored a 12" single of rick james' "sweet and sexy thing"(thang)
I also got this hilarious steve martin stand up album. Oh man, recorded in 1978 and everything is still funny!! The best part about steve martin is that he doesn't rely on ethnic humor to get laughs. one of the things he talks about is cat handcuffs. for their little front paws. He doesn't trust his cat. ohh goddd. I wish I could stream this stuff for all of you. It is GOLDEN!!

I don't like that you used quote marks around "accidental". Granted that overdosing is a risk any drug user must accept before ever doing drugs and must be smart enough to know when they have had too much. It is a lot easier than you think to overdose. Therefore, it really is an accident. My best friend died of a drug overdose, he was mixing vodka and valium, it put him in this weird coma like state and he didn't really know what he was doing. He was still concious and healthy looking for days before he died, but he could not hold a conversation and couldn't remember anthing for more than a couple minutes. He would forget that it was the pills that were making him like that and he would keep taking them, a few miuntes later, he would forget that he took the pills, and he would take some more. This continued through the night. So, when your brain can't tell your body to stop, that is pretty much an accident. I imagine that a lot of drug overdoses happen in this same exact manner. So, folks if you ever have a friend that can't seem to remember taking any drugs but is DEFINETLY under the influence of them, they are probably overdosing at that point and they will not "sleep it off", take them to the emergency room. You'll be a lot happier in the morning when you still have them as a friend.

the population of where?
I am all for the "kill your television" camp. I don't want to kill mine however because it comes in handy for the occasional video game or movie. If those two things didn't exist, I would rather have the extra space in my apartment so I could spread out my music gear a little more.

I've only had fun in tucson once. It really isn't that cool of a place. I grew up in phoenix, I can't even remember how many times I have been to tucson. The only cool things are chicago music and the hotel congress. (the cafe)
