Yeah.... haven't been able to get into the Long Winters.  They sound sort of gutless or something.  I never got around to listening to Harvey Danger's second release, which is strange considering they were my favourite band for a few months in 98.    Where Have All The Merrymakers Gone still proves to be highly listenable.

Back on topic.  I have also lost track of Nada Surf since High/Low.  I will download the new album on your recomendation and possibly get back to you on how right/wrong you are.

The best looking website on the net, one of the best music zines, and it's Canadian.

Come visit the Dink Delicatessen,
in the kitchen MattB is obsessin',
"sure my servings are small,
but I'll please one and all,
because my salads are tossed to perfection."

You mean you'd actually smoke in the theatre?  You mean that's a new rule?  Dudes... Americans are weirdos.

Sorry MattB...
I was just going to call it 'insult of the day' but decided at the last moment to dedicate this bit to you... I figured you'd appreciate the gesture.... also... you've drawn some ire from the Nada folks lately and thought your person would be a timely focus for us all to practise our jibe on...

you gonad groomer.

I agree wholeheartedly with you both....
speakerboxx is great.... the love below has some amazing moments.... but the great songs are crowded by too much silly r&b hooey.... it's sort of humorous on the first listen but becomes utterly unlistenable after a couple spins.... it's too bad because if they lifted the best tracks off of andre's side and dropped them into the first half this could be one of the best hip-hop albums I've ever heard.... it's a neat concept, splitting the deal between the two, but unfortunately there isn't enough great tracks between them to pull it off.

but wait... we have the technology to do this ourselves....
nominate the excellent tracks from andre's half.... we can cut a few from the first half.... and voilla.
