Ash,
I like the redesign on the site. It's way easier on the eyes. Seeing a slashdot banner ad was a little disconcerting, but who knows where marketing demos overlap, eh?

- i think it looks less clean and professional overall.
- the pages seem to be loading twice a slow.
- at the top the menu bar is there twice, right on top of each other, which seems redundant.

they always cancel all the good shows.
speaking of cancelled shows, Fisher recently told me he's got the entire Freaks and Geeks catalogue downloaded and that it was the bestest teen show ever on TV. anyone catch any of these? i've never seen it.

the album i'm currently listening to the most is the debut album from NYC's "The Hold Steady," out now on French Kiss Records. this moves the Modest Mouse into second place on my regular rotation. what is everyone else been spinnin'?

you should bring the disc to work with you on Monday and give me short synopses of each song, after which i will tell you what they are and who does them. doesn't that sound like a hoot?

Pop Culture, Categorically / Music / iTunes selling music before it hits stores?

sorry to digress from the topic of this thread, but i just wanted to take a chance to personally welcome Stolie to the boards. stolie's one of two super cool press gals for Chicago's Bloodshot Records (the other being Lee Gutowski.) they've been super nice to us over the years. Stolie's also a performer with a new album out. check her bad self out at http://www.stolie.com/. oh, and iTunes better work our arrangements with labels and distributors to be able to sell shit early, otherwise munjumba's right and they will never compete with the free peer to peers. speaking of which, how's everyone like the new Wilco album that's not out yet?
