Hey Matt,

Since you have such an inside knowledge of what is going on at Chop Suey do you think you could find out how much or what the deal is with the Hollertronix show next month!  Those cats are sick and I'm wondering when tickets go on sale for the event, or is it first come first serve to get in the door?  Help a fella out will ya, this show should be silly good!

Thanks

To all you cool cats out there that couldn't make it to the free show last night at Chop Suey you blew it again.

Me and the peeps got there around 10:00 (the doors opened at 7:00) and we were suprised to hear some trio banging out a nice crunchy set, sorry I never caught the name . . . but they were tough.  After a short intermission I think a band called Don Callbero, or something like that, played and while their four piece jam band sessions went a little long sometimes, that fucker can play the drums . . . for the rambiling musical adventure that each song was I kept feeling like they sounded like old Helmut, but without a singer.  Then the Rose City's own Lifesavas came out and did a silly nice set . . . not unlike the one they unleashed for Seattle a couple of weeks ago at the Qunnanum Show, and then it happened Hollertronix took the stage.  Now, these cats are just a couple of white dudes from Philly or D.C. or someplace like that, but the music they make (whether you call it a blend or a mashup) is the fuckin shit, for real if you get a chance you should try and find a copy of the records or CD's they have put out.  I mean crunck beats behind Men With Without Hats, fucking brilliant.  The combination of new and old had the crowd grooving, a little break off here some grinding over there . . . it was all worth it, oh yeah what am I saying it was free.  So, for all you fuckers who missed the show,ha, ha.

However, I will have to say one thing, who ever made it so I didn't have to pay to see four hours of live acts that were all good, thanks!

And if Matt B ever reads this, damn dude . . . where's my mixtape!
