Check this:

Dear Sonia,

Greetings from Three Imaginary Girls!! It has come to our attention that the Nada Mucho calendar submissions are directly cut and pasted from our website, without our permission and without acknowledgement on nadamucho.com. While we're happy to spread the good word about upcoming local shows, your practice is unfair to our imaginary calendar imaginary boy, who works extremely hard to compile his comprehensive weekly updates.

If you wish to keep using our calendar listings, we ask that you update them regularly and directly from us, and in return, you credit Three Imaginary Girls on your site with a "Calendar Assistance Provided by ThreeImaginaryGirls.com" link back to our calendar.

Otherwise, we request that you please stop lifting content from our calendar page.

Thanks so much!!!
tig

First of all, I do admit to taking a few things off their calendar that I wasn't able to find on a venue site. But for the most part, all my calendar listings are taken from calendar emails I get directly from venues or from their websites.

Unfortunately for the TIG's, they have all the time in the world on their hands to double check everyone's calendar entries to make sure they couldn't have possibly come from THEIR site.

Fuck you, TIG....and besides, if I wanted to lift your entire calendar, I could...because it's public information and not able to be copyrightable.

Also, next time you email me, please refrain from using so many exclamation points. It's stupid. And annoying.

THANKS SO MUCH!,
Love, Your Biggest Fan,
Sonja

Just another case of computer-nerd territorial pissing.
I'd rip off every calendar I could find in order to make a comprehensive, informative list of shows. The point is to spread the word on the shows--claiming ownership of this sort of information undermines the whole purpose of "spreading the word".

"We're Three Imaginary Girls, K? We have a high-pitched, whiny writing style. We're so nausiatingly cute and we always talk like this, ok? Yeah! And we are so full of ourselves, we enjoy eating our own shit. Please recognize that we are superior to all our zillions of fans and if anybody at all ever messes with our little 'ol website, we'll write you an email saturated with passive aggressive comments, k? Thanks! We love you (in that you put our pictures in the papers)!"

You have got to be kidding me?

They are upset because you are trying to publicize shows?

They should be fucking glad that you are even looking at their biased website. No need to even get started on their blinder approach to Seattle music as well as their general inability to say anything less than glowing.

Keep up the good work Nada, looking forward to the next flaming article about something that sucks, even if I am involved in the project.

My job here is done.

In all their perusings and scrutiny of the NadaMucho site, I wonder if they ever bothered to send a thank you e-mail to anyone for promoting one of their shows at the bottom of my Tullycraft interview?

I'm guessing no.

we post all their show listings on our calendar with their name (they take ours off our show listings on their site), and any article that has keywords in common with them has "Three Imaginary Girls" listed as a "related link" at the top right of the articles.

I'm sorry but TIG's site is crap compared to Nada......They also have a very shitty sense of music. They called the Icarus line "metal" I guess because they have long hair? If they do not understand a band they do not like it.....Emo Sucks!!! and so does TIG's.....

Someone buy these girls a couple of Jesus Lizard albums quick
