The Terminal -

This movie sucked a big huge steaming pile of fecus. Totally stupid plot and totally, totally boring. Not sure what Tom Hanks was thinking on this one. (3/10)

Butterfly Effect -

First half was interesting and seemed like it could shape up to be a cool, twisted thriller but it ended up being pretty cheesy, leaving tons of plot holes, and not being scary AT ALL.

(5/10)

ARE THERE ANY GOOD MOVIES TO RENT?

I thought both saved and Mean Girls were above-average teen comedies. Mean Girls had funnier parts, but the plot was uneven and the writing a little clunky at times. Saved seemed like it was better put together, like it was made by people who had made movies before. Both are worth renting.

Saved - 7/10
Mean Girls - 6/10

Buffalo '66.
I think I hated it. Just seem like the most self-indulgent crap I've seen in a long time. Weird for weird's sake.

Buffalo 66 is one of the greatest movies ever made. Every frame in it is fucking brilliant and perfect. Great story and FANTASTIC dialogue.

Whilst home in Yakima with my folks this weekend I was subjected to Lucky 7, a romantic comedy my mother and sister picked out. It was one of the most formulaic and cliched movies ever, which probably explains why it never made it to theatres. I think it would have been better had they introduced a midget character who would have run around randomly smashing people in the kneecaps with a tire iron. (2/10)

Also watched Bourne Identity last night which was about as good of a Hollywood CIA Thriller as possible. Cheesy at times but overall totally fun to watch - one great fight scene, one great car chase, lots of tricky maneuvering by CIA machine Matt Damon. Good rental. Only thing that didn't work for me was the bit role by Julia Stiles as the head of the Parisian branch of the CIA. She did NOT save the last dance for Matt Damon. (7/10)

I haven't rented anything recently, but watched a bunch of Invader Zim at Adam's this weekend. I get down on my knees and once again, thank the lord for sending me Jason Fisher to tell us about all the funny stuff.

If you haven't seen these yet, please do.

Rented Garden State last night. My goodness, I do believe this may be my favorite film of 2004. Excellent! (9.5/10)

Napolean Dynamite - 9/10
Just purchased this off Amazon. Fucking brilliant.

The Secretary - 7/10
James Spader flick about masochism and shit. Very odd and very entertaining despite the incredibly cheesy ending.

Can't wait for Garden State, it's next up on my Netflix queue.

It also should be noted that Invader Zim does, in fact, rule. Does A-Law have them on DVD or recorded to VHS?

Snizz, how could you rate Shaun of the Dead higher than Garden State? Tsk, tsk.

Matthew...the Zim is on DVD. You should come down and watch some of them sometime. You will pee your pants.
