Lennon, Dimebag. Clearly cut from the same cloth.

I can't wait to hear more details about the motive. This thing has the potential to reinvigorate right wing parent and religious groups against heavy metal. It'll be the 80's all over again. "Ozzy made my son kill Dimebag!"

I was no Pantera superfan by any means but this was kind've of a bummer.  They certainly had their place and niche in the hard rock world for awhile.

Fond memories of a Pantera, Sepultura, Prong show where for once me and my friend Joseph were easily the best looking males in the building.

I think it's funny to see headlines like "Fondly Remembering Dimebag" and "Dimebag Passes on too Early." Next we need to have sad obits about a celebrity named "Crack Rock."

"Crackrock Karl viciously slain at poetry reading."

Pantera cerainly did have its niche.  Terrible that he was shot because the nut was pissed off that Pantera was broke up.

hey thanks for the kind words BlackJack.

now here's my imaginary snippet from Dimebag's funeral:

"Dimebag Daryl was many things to many people. To some of you, Dimebag was a father. To others, he was a friend, sibling or bandmate. To still yet others, a dealer. But whatever your relationship with Dimebag, you know that Dimebag's bright star passed on far before it should have stopped shining.

Now if you'll join with me in removing your one-hitters from your belt clips, we'll all take a commerative toke in honor of this great man."
