I remember when people used to share what they got for Xmas...please do!

My top three presents? Footy pajamas, plug and play game with 160 old Nintendo games on it, and a set of Pilsner glasses.

Anyone? Anyone?

I just opened what I thought was your standard promo pack and it turned out to be a set of 6 CDs I won for voting in KEXP's year-end poll that they sent over a month ago. Among them was the Futureheads. It's OK, but I liked it better the first time, when they were called The Jam.

Here's what else was in the package:

Tom Waits - Real Gone
Score!!!

Interpol - Antics
I think I'm over these guys. Love the first album but now they just sound dated to me. And I don't think this new record is as good as the debut.

KEXP Sampler - The Music Matters
Absolute snore. How a station that plays so much great music can select 17 absolute sleepers for their first-ever major comp is a real mystery. Its not quite as bad as that comp Barsuk put out last year, but almost.

Citizen Cope
Adult hipster easy listening. Sounds like G-Love meets Dave Matthews.

Earlimart
I saw these guys live with Decemberists and they were great. Much more aggressive and Pixies-esque than this disc, which sounds like Elliot Smith. I think I like this though.
