This could be the most bizarre celebrity charity deal ever. I'll be sure to give this one a WIDE berth.

Elton John, Rod Stewart, Ozzy and Kelly Osbourne, Phil Collins and opera tenor Andrea Bocelli are set to contribute vocals to an all-star charity cover of Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven," to benefit the Save the Children Fund's tsunami relief efforts.
John records his part tonight in London, while Stewart and the Osbournes will record in Los Angeles. Collins is scheduled to lay down his track at a studio near his home in Switzerland.

Sharon Osbourne -- whose family was due to vacation in Thailand just days after the tsunami devastated the area, claiming the lives of more than 150,000 -- is coordinating the effort.

Clapton originally penned the Grammy-winning song in memory of his four-year-old son Conor, who died when he fell from a window in New York in 1991.
