Has anybody else seen Sin City?  

   It's dark, violent and visually stunning.  Even with all the blood splatter and broken bones it was hard to take your eyes off the screen.  Not saying I didn't like it, but felt a certain sense of relief when it was over.

-  you'll never think of Elijah Wood as Frodo again
-  Mickey Rourke stole the movie
-  Still have yet to be impressed by Rosario Dawson

Rory Gilmore!   I kept trying to place her face during the movie.  Yeah she wasn't great.  

Benicio did look really weird.  Unrecognizable.  Only his speech pattern gave him away.

  I had the same type realization yesterday when it occurred to me that Velma from Scooby Doo was Lindsey from Freaks and Geeks.

I just saw it last night.
As most people will agree visually stunning, and it was nice adding the bits of color (a la Pleasantville and those black and white photos with kids in period clothing holding roses) to give it a bit of its own flavor against the comic itself.
Being a fan of the comic, I was really impressed how the director took the visual cues directly from the pages of Frank Miller's work.  It reminded me a but of Gus Van Sants Psycho in that it was a near visual copy of another work.  It also wasn't like Gus Van Sants Psycho in that it didn't suck rocks.
Yeah a Gilmore prostitute kind of cracked me up a little bit.  But there were a couple poor casting choices all in all.  I thought Jessica Alba was a bad choice for Nancy/Cordelia.
