Ok, I admit that I have only recently ventured into big kids tv programming with Comcast (including HBO) and OnDemand.

However, I am having a hard time understanding some of the stuff like:

How often do they add new stuff to On Demand?

Also, I have to have my television on channel 3 to work my TV now that I have digital cable. Unfortunately, I still tape lots of things the old school way, onto VHS tape. This means that I can't tape anything that the channel isn't already on? As in, if I'm watching one show, I can't simultaneously tape a show on another channel? I haven't been able to figure out how to do this (if it's even possible.)

Can someone help me out here?

I think Monday is the day for most stuff.   Starz and Movies On Demand seems to vary though.

  Music On Demand is wonderful.

I seem to be pretty indifferent about the awesomeness of grown-up cable. There is nothing totally awesome on HBO (which is the one I get) anyway (unless people would like to point out all the best shows.) I'm thinking about ditching the digital and OnDemand and supplementing with buying a new computer and high speed Internet.

I would consider the same if it wasn't for the hi-def features of digital cable.

Some of the on-demand stuff is pretty cool when there isn't anything on.  There can be cool concerts and videos I don't normally get to see.  Except for the live version of Ashlee Simpson's "La La" that seems to have graced our cable system's choices for the past few months.

Yeah, just saw a good PLacebo concert.

Sonja, you cannot watch a show and tape a diferent show.  I still tape tons of stuff to VHS.  That's why you should always have two tv's in your house or a Tivo.

HBO has tons of good shows ON Demand

Curb Your Enthusiasm, SOpranos, Deadwood, Six Feet Under, Carnivale, Pimps Up Ho's Down.

I know they have good shows On Demand, but the choices are to start watching them midway through the second or third season. If I've never seen the show before, I kinda like to watch them from the beginning.

I just don't understand the appeal. All the series are random pieces in the middle of seasons and things don't get added new very often.

Very puzzling. Indeed.

Digital cable is a ripoff. You just get more crappy shows, and until they let you dial up a menu of shows you really want, it's bullshiz. You know what I want? ONE channel where I can program what I want to watch when I want to watch it. We have basic cable, it's like $14 a month, and it does the job. Trust me, you'll be sorry for paying $50 or $70 a month, or whatever they charge for the fancy kind.

Sonja I think you should drop it.

What you and Mr. Bunker need to do is fly on down to the magic store and get an enchanted floating vision box that is limited only by your imagination.  Wonderful!

I do actually read a lot. There's always something I'm working on. Right now, I'm reading A Widow for a Year by John Irving. It's pretty good.

I also read People religiously. I apologize for that Smiley

I saw a commercial today that said the last season of Six Feet Under would be up On Demand in a little bit. Maybe its a May thing.

It records the entire season for me to watch. It does this whenever it is told.

Adam, don't you have the season before last taped? I need to watch that before I watch the last season on On Demand. I will be happy to tape it for you. Please mail your blank VHS tapes to my apartment immediately Smiley

Right now on Comcast on Demand you should watch the following concerts in the Music/Concert section.

Ween -
Awesome live band. They open with "Buckinham Green," Fisher's vote for best song ever.

The Darkness -
Rock.

NY Dolls -
Haven't watched it yet, but looks to be a two part live documentary type deal.

It looks like all of a sudden there's a ton of Sopranos stuff up on the On Demand...what was the last season number? It's been so long since I watched, now I'm not sure. I need to re-watch the last half of the season before so that I can watch the new season.

Ugh. TV watching is hard.
