I'm gonna bring on the negativity... and I'm gonna do it in the name of Johnny Yuma. You haven't experienced venom until you read my thoughts concerning the Canadian Hip-Hop scene. I got a CD from some chump, looked into the matter further, and I am appalled. Disgusted. It's like genocide committed against an entire genre of music... a genre that's already reeling from all the idiots involved within our own country.
Seriously. Fuck Canadian Hip-Hop. It's worse than British rap music, and that's saying something. I admit my previous stance on music writing was "If you can't say anything nice, why give a sucker the publicity?", but I've got some excess rage to burn before Pima County sticks me in court-appointed anger management classes.
Thanks, Johnny Yuma. I encourage all Nada Mucho writers to join me in my jihad against all that sucks in the world of music. We've made enough friends in the biz. Let's step on some fuckin' toes, name some names and right some wrongs... we can always go back to our sweet little pop fanzine format later.
Joe wasn't the only bitter man in Seattle. He was just a disgruntled Morrissey fan with gout. I loved it when he told Hal that Stevie Ray Vaughan was nothing but another dead Texan...

To be fair, Canada did give the world Snow.
"informer I lick your boom boom down"
And by the way Mr. Brown most but not all UK rap sucks. Mr. Skinner of The Streets kicks ass.

"informer I lick your boom boom down" Ow... my head... it hurts... I'm paying penance with flashbacks of being young and actually owning the album... I am ashamed. I see more spreading of hatred across the forums than in the reviews. Since I review a lot of stuff that I was interested in anyway, the amount of hatred gets slimmed. I'll work on the angst and get back to y'all.

Oh, and canadian hip hop is an abomination to the world at large. Fuck al-Quida, we've got a mandate to overthrow the northern hip hop scene.

And Sean... for every Mr. Skinner, there's twenty-three Derek B.s over in Merry Olde Limeyland. No love for Britain on the rhythmic linguistics tip. Anglophilia can only extend so far, bro.

"...it's so overwhelmingly familiar and faceless that it's almost comforting."
Scathing, Graham. Scathing. In a comforting sort of way. I think Johnny Yuma is craving something a little more indicative of our inner bitch.
You're one of Nada's best writers. You've gotta have some venom to spare...

I stand by that comment. I much preferred his brother Jimmy's work with the Fabulous Thunderbirds.
"I've been watching you for days, now baby."
