I have seen ZIPTYE several times at small venues around the city limits and they put on a great live show.  The rhythm section is as tight as a Brittney Spears fan on ecxtasy.  The guitarist must have listened to a great deal of Motorhead, Poison Idea, Drive Like Jehu, and Social Distortion and has probably never heard of John Mayer.  The singer has a throat of molten lava with a touch of tequila for a chaser.  His on stage antics reminded me on Johnny Rotten, Jerry A, and Jello Biafra, with a smidge of Dean Martin thrown in.  I belive the band all actually hail from the great Pacific Northwest and have not moved her to be "the next big thing".  If you haven't seen them yet, check out www.ziptye.com and check out an upcomming show.  Be sure to drink plenty and tip the bartenders well.  Maybe even invite your mom and introduce her to the band.

Is it hot in here or is it just me?  Ziptye rocks!  If you haven't seen them you should be asking yourself why?  Or better yet get to one of their shows.  The music is loud, the show is great, and the beer is flying...literally.

Well, who won the damn next big thing?  If not these, rockats, then who.  Check them out if you hear about a show and you will be in for a surprise.  I hear they are playing PunkLife this year.  Ask them about the manequin poetess, she streals the show.  They are trying to get some shows in Portland, too bad they didnt get on the Mudhoney/Napalm Beach ticket at Sabalas on 5/7.
I hear thet they are still drinkin' and recordin' so keep your ears peeled.

Holly Figeuroa won the poll, then didn't show up for her Mars Bar show we had scheduled with her and didn't let us know ahead of time, marking only the third "no show" we've had in NadaMucho.com Presents history and the first time it's happened outside of New Music Monday. Big bummer.

June 10 Mars Bar

HOLLY FIGUEROA (http://www.hollyfigueroa.com/)
Josh Schramm (http://www.joshschramm.com/)

Another great show this time at The Blue Moon.  You are missing out if you aren't there.  The vocals were a little low but I still had a great time.

I think I broke my damn toe!
