Since I'm bored, here's another topic for discussion.  List the discs by artists you love that suck.  These are the ones you probably greatly anticipated, tried your hardest, but in the end had to admit sucked.  Here's a few of mine:

London Suede Head Music  Those who know me understand The London Suede is one of my faves.  I couldn't wait for this disc to come out.  It's one of the worst things I've ever heard, possibly because of the chorus of the title track.  "Give me head, give me head, give me head music instead."

PJ Harvey Uh Huh Her  She's another of my favorites and coming off of Stories From the City, Stories From the Sea I couldn't wait for this one.  Terrible, slow and plodding.

Oasis Standing on the Shoulder of Giants  Just bad.  It took a while for Be Here Now to grow on me, but I recently tried this one again and it still sucks.

Besides one great single, New Order Republic is pretty craptastic.

All the Def Leppard albums after Pyromania.  I remember in junior high wating for the follow up and the new video comes on and I hear

"women, women, lots of pretty women"

I think I put my butt rock away at that point until college.

I thought you enjoyed getting hot, sticky sweet, from your head to your feet.

Republic does suck, but I thought it had two good songs on it.  I can't remember the one other than "Regret" though.

Kid A sucks, but I'm not a huge Radiohead guy.

I know Snizzer kind of liked it, but I thought Cathy Wheel's Wishville wasn't all that good.

Wishville is good butthole

Like most places everybody seems to leave when we have a discussion.  I blame you.

Most recently, the Old 97's Drag It Up blew pretty hard. I haven't listened to it since last fall.

Marah's Sail Away With The Friday Night Gods suuuuuuucked. That was a bit of a surprise.

Wishville has one or two good songs on it, but I recently gave it another try and I just don't like it that much.  Their other stuff is a lot better.  If that is their last one, not a good way to go out on.

I guess either people have better things to do at work than talk about music or everyone has only good discs in their collection.

I'd think about putting The Verve's Storm in Heaven, but it's the first effort from a fledgling band.

I hesitate to put Pulp's We Love Life on the list as I never really spent too much time with it.  Perhaps I should do so.

I won't say these albums suck, but I sure never listen to them.

 Afghan Whigs - Black Love
Ash - Nu-Clear Sounds (it sucks)
 The Donnas - Turn 21

not a huge fan of Foo Fighters but There is Nothing Left to Lose was terrible

  These suck

  G N R  The Spaghetti Incident

Basically all of Monster Magnet's efforts after Powertrip

  Pearl Jam No Code

Wow.  Black Love huh?  While I admit it isn't near as good as Gentlemen or 1965, but it's still pretty good.  "Faded" is one of my favorite Whigs songs.

I've never really thought any of the Foo Fighters albums is very good.  They seem to have one good song per album, which they always release first to get you to buy it, then the rest of it sucks.  Which one is There is Nothing Left to Lose anyway?

My number one letdown of all-time was The Reverend Horton Heat's Space Heater.  It was so bad I actually threw it away...

i thought both of you guys LOVED Black Love and used to lambast me for giving it a luke warm review when it was released?

snizz is waiting for someone to tell him that the new Social D album and the second strokes albums suck btw. any takers?

i love the cure and the majority of their catalogue sucks (when judging each album as a whole), except Boys Don't Cry, Head on the Door, Standing on a Beach (doesn't count cause its a singles collection), Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me and Distentegration.

all of Depech Mode's albums suck but they are a pretty good band.

gang of four are a great band but other than Entertainment all of their albums suck.

The second Strokes album was very solid.

The last Social D. did suck.

I would add Wish to the Cure's good albums.

Violator is as close to a good full disc as Depeche Mode gets.  Some of their's are absolutely terrible outside of the singles they produced.

Can't we assume that Lifehouse's first album also sucked?

- Black Love doesn't suck.

- Nor does Wishville

- Nor does Kid A.

Mr Shabadoo, I'm glad to know there's another one like me out there. I'm sure they're great, and I'm not about to argue with a gagillioin fans on this issue, but they just don't grab me, and certainly not in the way that gets them charting "Top 100 Albums All Time!" lists...
