This is one of about 100 (really) unfinished Nada list topics. I'll post ours and we can vote.

That is a truly pathetic list. No Ohio Players albums?
The greatest album cover of all time is Blues Brothers - Briefcase Full Of Blues, closely followed by Sesame Street Fever. Everything else is just stupid.

"Aerosmith - Get A Grip"... that just makes me mad. I really think they just picked 50 fuckin' names out of a hat.
I tried to look at that VH1 thing on a friend's television once, but I saw Dave Matthews so I changed the channel. TV scares me a little bit. That shit is more dangerous than weed.

In typical VH1 fashion, I think they try to hit all the way around different genres and include things that definitely shouldn't be there.
But, in defense, watching it on TV is way more interesting. They give you the background on how the cover art came to be, have interviews and celebrity commentary.
I figured it would inspire some fun comments, anyway.

I'm really not dissing your topic, Sonja. That list is just inane. Abbey Road has one of the most imitated covers in the history of the entire damned record industry and I don't see it on there. Get A Grip has a close-up of a fucking udder!
If they're going to put an Aerosmith cover on their dumbass list, Draw The Line had that cool Al Hirschfeld cover (the caricaturist who gained fame in the '30s and '40s and inspired the excellent "Rhapsody In Blue" segment of Fantasia 2000) and Toys In The Attic is a gen-yoo-wine '70s artifact, deep brown and creepy.
A fucking udder. The udder of the cash cow that VH1 milks to keep their crap on the air. End of rant.

This isn't strictly an album, but does anybody remember that Beastie Boys LP Love American Style? With the red white and blue body painted girls? That was some hot shit.

Yeah! It gave you something cool to stare at while you played "33% God" over and over...
I also liked the "Sure Shot" 12" cover with the kid yelling "Ma, what are they givin' me?"
I love those guys.

I definitely concur that it's a fucked up list...I'm just saying that I *do* like learning about whatever retarded album cover and how it came to be. It makes me better at Trivial Pursuit and shit.
Even stupid things are fun to learn about.

Why thank you kind sir.
I just thought of one of the most disturbing album covers...
Dwarves - Blood, Guts and Pussy
I think the dude was like fucking a rabbit and they were all covered in blood.
Matt A do you still have that Dwarves single Fuckhead? Maybe it was somebody else I dunno.
"You're not me, you're you, you're fuckhead. Go fuckhead!"

Here is a couple real gems from the outer genres of the hip-hop guy's tastes:
Dennis Coffey - Finger Lickin' Good (you must see it to believe it) Jack McDuff - Sophisticated Funk (Chastity belt goes hi-tech)
and of course as earlier mentioned,
Ohio Players - Honey and/or Skin Tight
