passhole bizniz) which admits 2 to any Seattle Area Landmark Theater from
Oct 14, M-Th. Etc.

It was near-perfect. I love how the two movies work together. Typically, action movies feed you a lame story (often a revenge plot) that hooks you to the movie, and then it climaxes with a massive fight scene. Terrentino flips this action-movie bit on its head. He hooks you with the fight scenes in the first movie, and only hints at a story. In the second he rewards the audience with a riveting story. Kill Bill 1 was so superficially violent that it was appealing as a true escape movie. Number 2 was packed with sharp plot twists, a heart-wrenching, ironic love-story, killer monologues (superman one in particular) and great dialogue. Love the way the story is framed, and focused on as the climax of the movie.

i bet they'll release both, then release them as a package, then later release the thing as one long movie. suck the sales dollars out of movie dorks like us.

i agree wholeheartedly with both of your points - the first one showcased Tarantino's brilliant directing and was a very fast-paced and violent film set to an amazing score. it was great in that it concluded enough to make you feel satisfied, but revealed far less than 50 percent of the two film's overall plot, thusly leaving viewers with lots of unkowns to ponder while waiting for part 2. the second film slowed the pace down and used a magnficent script to tell the back story while simultaneously letting us get to know lots of characters at a more intimate level. the characters in the second one were amazing all the way around, from the main characters played by Madsen and Bassinger to the Chinese martial arts trainer (my fav character of the whole deal) all the way down to the mexican pimp at the end and the strip club owner that fires madsen for being late.    

having seen the first one about 10 times thanks to my aforementioned web-nerd buddies and the second one only twice, i'm dying to see it again.
