I was a big fan of:
Colossus
Iron Man
Falcon
Sunspot
Martian Manhunter
Cyborg
Dr. Fate

A little from both factions. I won't lie, I'm sure I had more DC than Marvel, but in my aging, I realize Marvel was far superior.

Dr. Fate was cool.

I didn't read this title much but Moon Knight always came across as really cool.

I read a lot of DC too. I'll get to that universe later on. DC was never quite as dark as marvel. At least they weren't back in the 80's and 90's.

Marvel ruled. DC went out with the miniskirts and mood rings.
I always liked the New Mutants, probably because they were young like me. And the X-men were jealous of them. Daredevil just looked cool as hell, plus he was handicapable. Does anybody remember the "Secret Wars" series? It was like a battle of the network stars with Marvel characters. My local comic store guy suckered me into buying two of each in the limited series because they were like totally instantly collectible and stuff. Last I looked they weren't worth much. The only cool thing was Spidey's dope black suit was introduced... and when Hulk was holding up a million ton mountain so Team B wouldn't get crushed. I was also big into GI Joe. Go Joe!

Green Lantern
Wolverine
Gambit
Cannonball
Havoc
Kitty Pryde
Banshee (funny)
Magneto
Deadpool
Puck (funny)
Psylocke
Colossus
Omega Red

Huge New Mutant collector as a youngster. Still have issues 1-40 or so. Too bad I didn't take better care of these things.

I loved Secret Wars. I have the complete series for it and Secret Wars 2.

- GI Joe was not a bad comic. I have a few. My best one is the origin of Snake Eyes.

Does anybody remember a miniseries by Marvel called Squadron Supreme? It was a JLA type rip off. It was great.

DC had some good stuff.

Teen Titans, The Outsiders, I loved All Star Squadron for some reason. Captain Carrot and his Amazing Zoo Crew (ha). But I've always been more of a Marvel guy.

You didn't need to put a (ha) after the Capt. Carrot. We were already thinking that. And I've even read them at your house.

Love Havok. Great costume, attitude and story behind Scott Summers' brother. Plus he looked really cool when he did his thing.

Spiderman has always been my favourite...
Also used to love the old teenage mutant ninja turtle comics... the series that came before the hype and the cheesy tv-cartoon replacement. Very sleek stylish turtles.

Anyone own any McFarlane toys? Some of my friends have them and I must say they are some of the coolest figures I've ever seen.

I liked Ice Man or whatever his name was. I always thought it was cool to shoot ice out of your hand and ride it. He could freeze different meats too so that it wouldn't go bad. How cool.

Yeah, he was cool. Although, that seems like an awful waste of water... now that I think about it, his powers are pretty unplausible. Where would all that ice come from? The air?

Robert "Bobby" Drake aka The Iceman absorbed moisture in the air and turned it into ice and stuff non believer.

The amount of moisture he would need to instantly create a 2 foot by 1 foot thick slab of ice, travelling at high speeds is not possible. What if he had to go through a desert?
I can't believe I'm arguing about this.

You guys are funny shit. I never thought of Ice Man that way. I always thought most superhero's were just magically born with their abilities, not to fuck with the humidity and shit.

Now that I think about it, Ice Man sucks. What a terrible, cumbersome superpower. Talking to fish is cool, flying through the air is cool. Blasting a big ass chunk of ice in front of you to ride on is more of a burden than a blessing. It's cool for blasting villains, but he'd be way better off riding one of those gay Ginger scooters around.
Speaking of which, where are they? I was expecting be jostled off of the sidewalk by them now...

Iceman is cool. How is it a burden? It's not like he has to go back and clean it up.

Talking to fish is not cool.

Did you know that the amount of water Iceman wastes commuting to work each day could sustain an African Masaii village for an entire year?
