Listening to today:
Fountains of Wayne, "Welcome Interstate Managers" - this album rules.

Brendan Benson, "Metarie" EP - Brendan Benson rules. This EP rules. Don't think that just because you have his last record that you don't need this. Both versions of "Metarie" are different from the "Lapalco" version...one is a more rockin' full band version, and one is closer to a duet...and the b-sides rule. "You're Quiet" is a great rock version, similar to the way he kicks it out in concert. MUST HAVE.

I'm all over Cat Power right now.
That song "Good Woman" fucks me over every time.
Breakup song... heartfelt... and the female mentality is confusing... but it's genuine and I hate it... amazing.

I agree. I miss the busy board.
I am currently listening to

- Interpol (still)

- Have downloaded some Warlocks songs and love them. Song for Nico (got this from MAtt. He is totally smart and stuff) Cocaine Blues is good too.

Got a song from Matty by a group called The Greenhornes "it's My Soul" Cool stuff.

And an excellent Smiths comp put together by JRShabadoo

New Nada Surf and Soundtrack of Our Lives. Both are OK.
New Richard Ashcroft-terribly boring.

Copius Libertines downloads.

I haven't apparently been enjoying it as much as you. It's OK, just kind of boring in places. I cant quite place who they sound like though.

Ed Harcourt, "Here Be Monsters"...sort of Neil Finn vs. Elliott Smith. Great record.
Bruce Springsteen, "Darkness on the Edge of Town"...got this on record for $3 and man is it great.

-  Broke out Interpol and can't stop listening to

"Stella Was a Diver and She Was Always Down"

 - Also been listening to previews of the new BRMC.

 - Stellastarr - Jenny

 -  Jet -  Get What You Need, Move On  (heard these on NME.  They play cool 70's rock music.  I likes)

Also heard a band called Franz Ferdinand on NME that was yummy.  They are along the same lines as Interpol. DO not have an album yet.

I just found a whole bunch of new releases:
The Shins - Chutes Too Narrow (sounds very good... need more time)
The Decemberists - Her Majesty (excellent)
The Weakerthans - Reconstruction Site (dissapointing)
Prefuse 73 - Extinguished (Outtakes) (heard a little... Sounds great so far)
Death Cab For Cutie - Transantlantacism (ditto)
