Snizz - why didn't you tell me Catatonia ruled? I gotta assume that these guys are at least on your radar since you're the official Britpop rep here. I wandered across "Equally Cursed and Blessed" and it freakin' rules. Cerys Matthews can wail to the point of being hot.

Sorry Crustybutt.  I don't share the same opinion.  I found them most boring.  Keep in mind however I rarely like a chick fronted band.  

  Cerys is hot though.   I believe Catatonia did release a greatest hits album awhile back though.  Cerys also released a solo album.  So there's plenty more stuff for you to check out.

a) I am a sucker for female-fronted bands.

b) Their albums seem inconsistent, but there are some truly, truly excellent songs, enough on each one to make them worth picking up. I think that's my problem with a lot of Britpop - too much filler, "in general." But...I found all the Catatonia discs dirt cheap on half.com and amazon.com, so...I think I'm out $12 for at least a disc's worth of really good tracks.
