Hi!
I was reading the last online version of the Indie Bible and found your
company. I was impressed by your website and was looking for a way for
us to be able to partner. Would you be interested in trading links?
Please visit our website at
www.grsgames.com.
GRS Games is a Sony Playstation 2 game developer based in Towson,
Maryland, working with the cooperation of NASA to develop Space
Station:SIM. The game takes place aboard the International Space
Station (ISS) with the player being the Director of NASA, having
responsibility for the crew as well an international good will and
scientific advancements aboard the ISS.
The game is slated for a Fall 2004 release on Playstation and a PC
release scheduled about six months later. The minimum sales are
estimated at 500,000 units. The Sims on PS2 sold more than a quarter
million copies in the first month. We obviously have high hopes for
game sales.
The game is like other sim games in that you build your people (type,
weight, skin and hair color, personality traits, skill set, etc) but
with one big difference. Each astronaut has his or her favorite type of
music that is taken into space with them. The different types of music
and their effects on the other astronauts will be part of the game play.
We are running a contest to get unsigned musicians the opportunity to
be heard by a large number of people that they wouldn’t otherwise be
able to reach. We are seeking all types and genres of music. Entries
are being accepted by mail and through the internet until December 31,
2003.
We are paying the musicians for the music selected and unlike some
other game companies, it is not a buyout – we are offering a licensing
agreement. We do not wish to own the artist’s music. The artists will
receive credit in the game and we are also offering a link on our
website to theirs, to help them promote their Cds and performances.
Please let me know if you are interested in a link arrangement or have
another idea. I think that a partnership would be beneficial to us both.
Sincerely,
Victoria
