Hi All,

I'll be travelling alone to Sugar Land, Texas this weekend and am staying with family for 2 weeks. The people I'm staying with will be working the whole time and so I'll need to get mobile and sight seeing myself. After having read a travel guide and this website I'm beginning to get the impression Houston is not a public transport friendly city as say London is....

So some advice please! What would be the best way to get out of sugar land and moving around Houston? What's worth seeing during my 2 weeks? Is 2 weeks too long for Houston? Are there any peripheral places that I can make day trips to that are worth visiting and how is it best to travel there? If anyone could advise I would be most grateful. Can't wait to get to Texas!
