Thought I'd bring this thread over from the old boards. Whether home or at work, let us know what you're listening to. Me, public enemy Fear of a Black Planet. Their second best album after the classic Takes a Nation. When the drum track kicks in on "Brutha's Gonna Work it Out" it still makes me wanna get up and salute Professor Griff and the S1W's and receive my orders for the cause. Fuck PE are good.

No joke, over the last couple of days, I've been listening to Journey's box set, Time(3). I've been feeding my inner mullet.

James Brown - James Brown's Funky Christmas Nowhere Man - Considered To Tears AC/DC - Flick Of The Switch and Powerage
That's in the last hour. I'm just taking a quick break from Lyrics Born and the video of The Cherry Valence I shot at their Tucson show last month. The Cherry Valence make me shiver with delight.

I'm listening to Manu Chau's "Esperanza." I'm normally not a "world music" fan, but this is hands down one of the best, most original and inspiring records I have ever heard a hands down 10/10. Now I've got "me gusta la vecina, me gustas tu, me gusta marijuana, me gustas tu."
We've been cleaning house all day, here's the playlist so far:
- The Mummies "Death by Unga Bunga" (great Estrus band)
- Playwhatulike "The Best of Digital Underground"
- Hex County "The Deuce" (Hex County Rules)
- Donovan "Barabajagal" (I made my roommates listen to "My Shirt" and "Atlantis," poor bastards.)
- Pink Floyd "Works" ((I think this was an early compilation rather than an album proper (A-Law?), but its my fav PF ever. I loves it.))
- Rentals "Seven More Minutes" (I love this record too.)
- Marah "Let's Cut the Crap (This still may be the best album ever.)
Great thread. Keep 'em comin folks.

Camper Van Beethoven - Telephone Free Landslide Victory
Twilight Singers - Blackberry Belle
and I am not sure who sings it but I can't stop listening to "Steve Mcqueen."
DId anybody go to that show at Chop Suey? Sure wish I could have. I bet me and Dulli would have become best friends forever.

"Hail Atlantis!" I love this song
Great. Just by reading that sentence I have the dumb shirt stuck in my head. "I love my shirt, I love my shirt."
I know you made me listen to those songs on several occasions so I feel no pity for the current batch of suckers.
