Maybe I'm really behind on all this, but a couple weeks ago I heard Supersuckers covering Oukast's "Hey Ya" on KEXP.

I liked it.

What do ya'll think?

It loves the new Hives single Walk Idiot Walk.  It also reminded how fucking good Barely Legal was.  Rock, Rock, Rock!

New Beasties is great and since I saw the show on Tuesday at Neumo's I have been listening to The Streets new album repeatedly.  All good things.

also bought The Killers. Can't decide if I like it though.

I'm sure most of you know this, but Best Buy is a great place to buy new albums.  New releases $9.99.  I got the Killers for $6.99.  Prices even the unemployed can afford.

mine:

The Hold Steady - my second fav album of the year. these guys rule and you should check them out or you are totally dumb.

Invisible Eyes - great garage rock demo i got from local band.

Shins - Chutes too Narrow - like it's predecessor, it took almost a year for this album to become the thing i listen to most. one of the most incredible bands of the past five years. i keep playing song 5 over and over and over and over.

Mouse - Good News - still best album this year so far.

Global Seepej sampler - Solyoni's "Gold Mine Robbers" is my current fav. great comp by Mikey T and the boys.

I recently got into this new band, Single File. They have a really unique sound and I don't think many people know about them yet. Some of the best rock i've heard in the past 5 years. You can even download their songs for free at singlefilerock.com (course you can also buy their cd there, ha!).

Sonja,

certain circles consider Journey's greatest hits to be the ultimate ally in gaining entrance into a women's pants.

Steve Perry's silky voice, of course you can't stop listening.

I'm listening to The Faint's newest, 'Wet From Birth', for the first time.
It sounds good.

The iTunes mp3 player is great. It gives you a rundown of your most listened to music. Here are my top 5 listened to albums (since getting iTunes in May)
1. McLusky - The Difference Between You and Me Is That I'm Not On Fire
2. The Streets - A Grand Don't Come For Free
3. Ornette Coleman - The Shape of Jazz to Come
4. Savath & Savalas - Apropa't
5. Arovane - Lilies (tie)
5. Mirah - C'mon Miracle (tie)
5. M83 - Dead Cities, Red Seas and Lost Ghosts (tie)
5. Mouse on Mars - Radical Connector (tie)
