Hey what is going on boys and girls of Nadaland?  Since everyone I know from this site is soooooooo in love with the Beatles I was curious what you have to say about the Grey Album?  That would be the vocals from Jay-Z's new Black album with all new beats made from nothing but songs from the Beatles White Album . . . anyone, anyone?

Matt B were is my mixtape, damn?

Sean give me a call sometime?

Matt A we are going to start playing basketball again in a couple of weeks you think you are down or what?  I also wanted to talk to you about putting out a Nada mixtape.  Get in touch.

I didn't know anything about it.  Certainly sounds interesting.    Although I haven't really heard any songs I like off the Black Album.

  It calls it soon.

well, it's an adventerous concept to say the least, and if any a-list hip-hop artist could pull off such a stunt these days it would be J... wait, no, it would be Outkast. i guess JZ might have a shot too. make us all a copy, Biotch!

It actually has nothing to do with Jay-Z, an Atlanta producer Dangermouse (you should check out his new disc with Gemini or however you spell his damn name) did it all on his own.  He is being threatned by EMI and alot of websites got togethor on tuesday to have a "Grey Day" in protest of EMI threating to sue everybody.  It sounds okay, Jay-Z hasn't made a great album since his first release in 96' and it only hints at the loops that you could come up with by mining the Beatles.  I'm sure the album is on one of those file sharing network (I don't have a computer that's how they find you) or you can find it here

http://www.illegal-art.org/audio/grey.html

There are about four or five remixes of the entire album:  The Brown Album, the White Album, Paul Nice did one that is supposed to have used all old soul and funk samples, I have heard a few remixed with Spinal Tap (that shit is funny) and some cat is doing the Double Black Album with Jay -Z vocals and beats from Metallica.  shit if cats are worried about EMI, wait until Mr. Ulrich gets the law going.

Talk to you all later.  Oh yeah, Matt is there a good time to try and get in touch with you because I would be interested in writing reviews again if you are looking for some folks.

But we don't listen to the same things (most of the time that is)!
