Live @ The Paradox

This is the Seattle band The Sea Navy performing live at the Crocodile Cafe in March 2006. It's a rare occasion when you go to a show and every band on the bill kicks total ass. Saturday, May 6, The Paradox hosted an all-out killer event with The Sea Navy, Ambulette, Aloha, and last but not least, Rainer Maria.

Maura Davis, the lead singer of Ambulette, has the sexiest, most sultry voice I think I have ever heard. Within the first few words, you are completely hypnotized. Each song that was performed was unique and more different than the last. They are definitely one of those bands that when you listen to them you think every song is your favorite one. This is a very well put together band, and their sound is just amazing. The only thing that would have made it any better is if they were playing in a smoky, rustic night club, and I were sipping a martini getting lost in the emotional sounds of Ambulette.

It's a rare occasion when you go to a show and every band on the bill kicks total ass.Now, Aloha is one of the more interesting bands I've heard in a while. These four fellas are highly energetic, and provide some massive drum beats. Best of all, they have the most sensational xylophone player! Who would have thought that the xylophone could be so rock ‘n' roll? Well, Aloha had. And it works perfectly for them. It's what sets them apart from other bands. Their music will definitely get you moving.

You know those pop/rock bands that make you want to hop up and down, and kind of bob your head from side to side? Well, that's just how Rainer Maria is, only they are really cool. The lead singer has this friendly, average kind of voice, and the band really just seems kind of nerdy. But those things are exactly what makes you think that they are so cool, so down to earth. A lot of bands can give off an intimidating vibe, but not Rainer Maria. This headlining trio really knows what they are doing. Their timing was dead on, and they sounded so well rehearsed and put together. I would highly recommend this band to anyone who likes rock music that can really get you going, and makes you feel good.

This is the band Ranier Maria they are from Brooklyn and that chick is hot, but their music is actually kind of boring. If ever you get the chance, go see any one of these bands! They should really be a must on any show-goers list of bands to see. Whether you're in the mood for sweet sultry sounds of Ambulette, or something unique and cool such as Aloha, or even the catchy, fun sounds of Rainer Maria, these bands will exceed your expectations. I know I'll be looking to see these bands again.
