El Corazon
By Cassie Riggins

A Hope Not Forgotten is a “Melodic Hardcore” band from Seattle. If you enjoy screaming, hardcore breakdowns or just awesome metal guitar riffs, then seeing these guys live is a must!

You’ll have the chance January 7 at 5 p.m. when they play an all ages hardcore faith-fest show at El Corazon. The night
opens with Tommorow May Fail followed by Prepare the Bride, Vices, Vessels, Prestige and of course a band that is sure to have success for years to come, AHNF.

AHNF is known for giving 100 percent effort at each and every show, weather it be their big tour kick off show at El Corazon in Seattle on January 7; later in their west coast tour at the Totah Baptist Church in Farmington, New Mexico; or the strange but intriguing Quesidilla Factory in Centralia, Washington.

Oddly for some, the one thing that stands out above this band’s ferocity on stage is their Christian belief, and the lack of shame that they have in sharing it with their audience.

Faith Fest (2012)Some of you might be scared off by this statement, but please keep in mind this show tomorrow is not a sermon, it is going to be six hardcore bands rocking loudly 99 percent of the time with an occasional shout out to the big guy upstairs. This show will provide something new and youthful for the jaded Seattle music fan.

Cassie Riggins is a Junior in High School. She loves all types of music and has a cat named Kitty Kitty Kitty, as well as a dog named Ladie.
