Macefield Music Festival, the annual Ballard musical extravaganza inspired by real estate holdout Edith Macefield, recently announced the full lineup for its 2015 event and it’s a lovely representation of Seattle music past and present.
Representing the city’s storied late 20th century heritage are former Screaming Tree Mark Lanegan, alt-country psych rock chanteuse Jesse Sykes and her band the Sweet Hereafter, grunge-era punk metal gods Coffin Break and Tacoma garage rockers Girl Trouble. Flaunting the Emerald City’s music of today will be hip-hop producer OC Notes, “Afro Nu Wave” outfit Future Shock and retro blues rock from the expertly named Thunderpussy, among others.
Festival organizers revealed the full line via the debut of their first #howareyougettingtoMacefield promotional video starring the Ambassador of Fun: Kurt Bloch.
