AJ Dent – With Jenny Lewis, life is a low-brow, sky-high tall tale. Each emotion is worth a melody, and every relationship, a short ‘n bittersweet ballad. Her penchant for fanciful songwriting has made me a fan for over a decade now.
Eric Tra – Bristol punk rockers, IDLES, polished off the end their U.S. tour with an epic performance filled with savage, raucous anthems and of course, crowd surfing galore.
Andy Bookwalter – My 14-year-old son Jake took me to see IDLES and Fontaines D.C. at Neumos at the end of May. By “took me” I mean I bought the tickets and the cheeseburgers and drove us to and from the venue, but he convinced me back in November that this was a show not to miss and, holy crap, he was right.
Andy Perkovich – I’ve been a huge fan of Savannah, Georgia metal band Baroness since about 2004 and have been following their evolving sound ever since. I’ve been lucky enough to see them live a handful of times and they just keep getting better and better, so I headed down to the Showbox Market (#SaveTheShowbox) on March 19 with my camera to catch them live.
