Fixer – Bend
Fixer
Bend
By Michael Lewis, new guy
Ever wonder what Candlebox would have sounded like if Axl Rose had been their frontman? Right – me neither. This EP is chock full of bad, juvenile lyrics that would feel very timely if the year was was 1986:
“When she snaps her fingers, I come /
She cracks a whip, I run /
She bites my lip, I’m done.”

These lyrics are married to the standard would-be-“Eruption†guitar solos, pounded out by sad, fat alcoholic fingers, all carried out with what seems to be a complete lack if irony: this band takes themselves very seriously.
Sadly, they’ll probably be the next big thing. – 3/10
