Peter Cameron – It’s hard to not get excited when I hear the pressure releasing four letter word—SIFF. The Seattle International Film Festival is back and this year there are no COVID woes to slow it down.
Tim Basaraba – The 49th annual Seattle International Film Festival kicks off later this week, which means it’s time to share the films I’m most excited to see.
Peter Cameron – If I was a GIF, there’d be the word “SIFF” flashing while a wild man dances a jig. “SIFF! SIFF! SIFF! Thank God for SIFF!” The festival’s enthusiasm for film filled me with joy. The passion was infectious. And I’m so God damn glad I went.
Tim Basaraba – Am I experienced? After writing just under 100 film reviews since late 2019, I would say “yes.” I’m experienced with the process of viewing a film in a theater, hopefully without any knowledge about it ahead of time – what I call “Optimum Immersion.”
Peter Cameron – I’m inclined to claim that film is dead. But if anything can unearth this medium, it’s the Seattle International Film Festival. Yes everybody, SIFF is back! And it’s possibly better than ever.
