Over the last few years, the Experience Music Project’s Sound Off! competition has quietly become a great curator of the region’s “next big things,” with winners and finalists like The Lonely Forest and Dave B going on to local or even national acclaim.
With this in mind we sent photographer Katy Moon to Chop Suey March 30 to check out the EP Release show for 2013 finalists The Female Fiends. She got there in time to catch one of the support acts, Everett’s Fauna Shade, who just happen to be a Sound Off! finalist this year.
