Last Thursday, influential Seattle DJ and music industry veteran Marco Collins hosted a night of music with a new format at Chop Suey called Tag 2.0, in which five local acts performed one continuous set without any downtime, each one blending their closing together with the next act’s opening, sometimes sharing the stage for extended periods of time.

We sent our phenomenal new contributor Sunny Martini to capture photos of the acts, which included Aaron Daniel, a one man “banned” who beat-boxes and uses loops to great effect; the soulful sci-fi of Hitek Lowlives; former American Idol finalist and all-around pop genius Blake Lewis; blues rock band Hobosexual; and Lovecitylove, an R&B/Jazz/Hip-Hop group featuring Adra Boo from Fly Moon Royalty and Hollis Wong-Wear of The Flavr Blue.

The energy on stage was amazing.
