Hey Everyone,
I’m Patrick Galactic. I’ve been a voice here at NadaMucho.com over the years and you’ve probably also heard me telling you to listen to my music through a veil of tears. Well fuck all that, my friends. At least for today.
Because today, I have something of incredible value, artistically and personally, to share with you. It’s not money. It’s better than that. It’s The Lonely Weird Trip to the Moon! What is that? Well as I said it’s something very valuable.
I’m teaming up with Shaina Shepherd, Blazinspace, Noel Brass Jr. and Astral Media Lab to present this one-time special multimedia event TOMORROW, Friday, May 22.
At 8 p.m., Shaina Shepherd will go live with her Lonely G(irl) Sessions. If you haven’t seen her perform live with BearAxe (#41for2018) or her solo shows OR her performances with countless other amazing Seattle bands (i.e. Pulp) then you are in for an experience! Shaina performs, confesses, and amuses in equal measure with her uncontainable vocals and laughter. This is top class musical talent with a world class personality. If you don’t know Shaina, you’re about to.
At 9 p.m., Shaina will throw the feed to Blazinspace and Noel Brass Jr. for a very special presentation of A Trip to the Moon. If you don’t know, A Trip to the Moon is a movie made in 1902(!) by a man named Georges Méliès. It vanished soon after he retired but resurfaced in 1930 when film devotees started to recognize Méliès as an important historical figure. In 1993 the original hand-colored print was discovered and movie buffs have been devouring it ever since.

Blazinspace, if you didn’t know, is a visual imagineer. They have remixed and re-contextualized the original with incredible, mind-bending visuals that have to be seen to be believed! They recently remixed Akira if you want an idea of what to expect. Noel Brass Jr. is a very well-loved, much-respected musician from the Seattle area who’s tastes for texture and tone are OUT OF THIS WORLD. With their forces combined, you will be in for an epic experience.
Then at 9:45 p.m., I will be hosting a very special edition of my brand new show “Weird at Night” to discuss what we just saw with Shaina and Blazinspace live in the chat! What is “Weird at Night”? It’s a live broadcast that usually airs at 12 a.m. on Sundays and Wednesdays. It’s a haven for creative conversation where we solve the world’s problems, exalt in the art of our community (and beyond) and LOTS of pop culture. I’m leaving a link to the most recent episode for you to peruse.
So that’s it. 3 Artists. One channel. 8 p.m. Friday, May 22. If you’re sick of Netflix and need something to shake you from your slump, there is nothing better.
