Best of 2013: 98 Songs We Totally Loved

Posted by December 29th, 2013 3 Comments »

Though you’ll never convince us that the album format is dead (I will die clutching my vinyl copies of Abbey RoadAquemini, In An Aeroplane Over the Sea and The Lonesome Crowded West), the NadaMucho.com team recognizes that the way we consume music is changing – hence the addition of a “favorite songs” category to our year-end coverage in recent years.

One of the best things about compiling Nada’s year-end coverage is the fact that I can quickly and easily take all of the song nominees and put them in to a Spotify play list. It’s an easy way to recall 2013’s warmest musical memories and catch up on a whole host of great songs I missed earlier in the year.

We do not shackle our contributors with the bureaucracy of a decrepit music industry either; we really mean “our favorite songs of the year,” regardless of whether they were proper singles or not.
