By Maurice Harnsberry
New York City based duo Lion Babe (comprised of Jillian Hervey and producer/instrumentalist Lucas Goodman aka Astro Raw) is coming through Seattle and stopping at the Crocodile on June 23. This show is in support of their new album Cosmic Wind, which touches on soul, funk, disco, and R&B. The group’s hit song “The Wave” is being used by the American Heart Association for their current campaign and features fast-rising MC Leikeli47.
Fans of good pop music probably already know Lion Babe from their career-defining songs “Treat Me Like Fire” and “Jump Hi,” both of which were featured in the hit HBO series Insecure.
Lion Babe channels a cool 70’s disco + funk vibe and are incredible performers, so grab some tickets and join me this month for their amazing live show.
