Preview: Committed, A Rock ‘n Roll Photography Exhibit
On Thursday, Jan. 23, four local photographers whose work we’ve been lucky enough feature on our pages will celebrate their love of music with an exhibition of their work and performances from three great bands.
Committed: A Rock N’ Roll Photography Exhibit, will feature work from Eric Tra, Jake Hanson, Rachel Bennett and Travis Trautt from their experiences shooting local, regional and national artists both locally and at performances across the country.
The gallery opens at the Screwdriver Bar at 2320 1st Ave for you to enjoy and purchase photographs, and rub elbows with other Seattle music fans. Things move to the nearby Belltown Yacht Club at 2320 1st Ave at 8 p.m. where you can see more photos and take in a DJ set from bi-coastal Seattle/New York City band Acid Tongue and live performances their NYC comrades the Advertisers and a secret surprise headliner. We can’t tell you who it is, but it’s one of the bands we highlighted in our 41 Seattle Bands to Watch in 2017 article (#41for2017) and that you can find LOTS of photos on our Flickr page, where you conveniently can find lots more great photos from Eric, Jake, Rachel and Travis.
Also: it’s free. If you don’t go, you’re dumb.
To give you an advance peek at the action, here are shots from three of the four photographers whose work will be on display.
