Miguel returns to Seattle on Friday as part of his “Ascension Tour” with opener DVSN and you should really think about coming out.
It’s been a busy year for the Los Angeles native, with the Ascension Tour coming on the heels of his sold-out Spring tour in early April and a host of high-profile festival appearances over the summer. The WaMu Theatre show will mark the soul singer’s third time in Seattle this year following great sets at the Showbox SoDo in March and the Upstream Festival in June, both of which I photographed.
Live, Miguel draws the audience into his laid back vibe and seems to make a genuine connection with the audience. I’ll be there on Friday at the WaMu Theater, with my camera in tow yet again.
If you need any more reason to join me, check out this recent performance with fellow L.A. artists Chicano Batman and peep some of my photos from the Seattle shows earlier this year. More of Casey’s shots in the Upstream 2018 album on our Flickr page.
