Peaks of the Week: February 27- March 4

Posted by February 26th, 2012 No Comments »

Monday, February 27
Legion Within @ Sunset Tavern

What better way to start a week than by taking in some industrial goth?

Tuesday, February 28
Death By Stars @ The High Dive
Atlas Sound @ Neumos

I don’t know much about Death by Stars, but I do know the poster for this night at the High Dive is wicked rad. So if you’re not headed to Neumos for Atlas Sound, the solo project of Bradford Cox from the excellent Atlanta band Deerhunter, go check them out in Fremont and let us know what you think.

Wednesday, February 29
The Whywolves @ The Comet

Tight, progressive and rhythmic, this Bothell band seems to always be playing on weekdays. So either they are underrated or they just have weekend jobs. Catch them Wednesday night at the Comet in Capitol Hill.

Thursday, March 1
Eighteen Individual Eyes @ The Crocodile

Very cool, very beautiful… you might even say this female fronted band are “Cooltiful.” Eighteen Individual Eyes make intricate, guitar-based Indie rock.

Friday, March 2
The Bend @ The Mix
The Bend anchor a huge line up for Georgetown that features Hondo II, the project of Charlie Beck from the Mephis Radio Kings, and the F-Holes.

Saturday, March 3
The Dolly Rottens @ Benbow Room
La Sera @ The Rendezvous

The Dolly Rottens (pictured below) are not only beautiful, they rock the twang. Check them out this weekend at West Seattle’s Benbow Room. Or, for an equally intimate performance, there’s also Hardly Art artists La Sera gearing up for their trip to SXSW at the Rendezvous.

Sunday, March 4
Haunted Horses @ The Crocodile

Two great shows at the Crocodile this week. The Haunted Horses absolutely shred.

Hot chicks don't always mean a good show, but it's a good sign
