The evening started off with Baltimore, Mary. musician Daniel Higgs, who’s post-hardcore band Lungfish recorded several albums for seminal D.C. label Dischord Records in the 1990s and 2000s. His solo performance set the tone for the evening, which was INTENSITY.
A friend described OM’s music as “spiritual,” which seemed apt for the San Francisco doom-metal band’s set. Heavy, steady, and atmospheric are appropriate adjectives as well.
