Books are not cool.
Movies are cool. Rock music is definitely cool. Television… the verdict is out on that one. But books, definitely not cool. Maybe it's the association with school, all those boring textbooks have jaded the public's view of what a book can do and be.
Can a movie change your life? Perhaps, I've never been the same since I saw "The Goonies". Can a song change your life? If you're still in high school. And if a television program changed your life, well, then you deserve what you get.

Movies are cool. Rock music is definitely cool. Television… the verdict is out on that one. But books, definitely not cool.
Maybe it's the association with school, all those boring textbooks have jaded the public's view of what a book can do and be.
Can a movie change your life? Perhaps, I've never been the same since I saw "The Goonies". Can a song change your life? If you're still in high school. And if a television program changed your life, well, then you deserve what you get.
A book on the other hand, THAT can change your life.
See books are life distilled. A concentration of humanity on neatly bound pages. And intensely personal. That's why NadaMucho.com has decided to broaden it's pop culture coverage to include reviews of the oft-overlooked medium of books. We'll also interview the anti-social egomaniacs that write them. I know what you're thinking: Todd, why should we trust YOUR opinion? What do YOU know about books? Well for starters, I published one.
I also have a degree in English Literature, smarty pants. (That and a nickel will get you a bowl of soup. Well, it used to). So don't you worry, the editorial administration of the books is in good hands.
At any rate, our goal is to prove that books aren't just for nerds. They can be sexy, subversive, fun, inspiring… I dare say, they can even be cool.
So forget those stodgy literary journals. We're here to bring you books that rawk.
