TBLFAS #57: Greg Poppe, Ian Forrester & Patrick Galactic
TBASA’s Lo-Fi All Stars (#TBLFAS) is an intimate weekly concert series hosted by long time NadaMucho.com Contributor Tim Basaraba. The shows are free and take place at the Benbow Room in West Seattle beginning at 8 p.m. each Wednesday night.
Here’s Tim with his thoughts on the musicians performing on January 21.
Gregg Poppe
I have only seen Greg perform live as a the bass player for Poverty Bay, never as a solo artist. Bringing talented people like him to the stage, solo, is one of the reasons this weekly showcase is the best thing to happen to Wednesday since they named it “Hump Day.”
Ian Forrester
One of the most interesting performers that has ever played a #TBLFAS, Ian Forrester (pictured above) has the uncanny ability to make me feel peaceful yet uncomfortable as he performs. He is kind of “prog-y” but he can create and keep a good melody going as well. Check out his band Dirty Dirty for a taste.
Patrick Galactic
Tacoma’s Patrick Galactic is the best singer/songwriter from Canada to Portland. ‘Nuff said.
