Big BLDG Bash Announces 2016 Lineup
Big BLDG bash – that yearly festival that’s gone down the last two years in a big green warehouse underneath where 99 meets the West Seattle bridge – just confirmed the lineup for their 2016 event. Shit goes down Saturday, June 4 from 3 p.m. until sometime the next morning. They’ve got food trucks and four stages to watch bands, including an outdoor covered area, and there’s another spot just outside an big open garage door where you can politely smoke and still see two of the stages. It’s brilliant.
The crew that puts it together picks great bands – Charms, Nightspace, The Spider Ferns, Crazy Eyes, Great Grandpa, Low Hums and a bunch of other Nada favorites performed in 2014 and/or 2015, many of whom appeared on our list of 41 bands to watch last year.
This time around they’ve included current artists we’re excited to see like Acid Tongue, Wild Powwers, Great Spiders, Zen Mother, and BA the Scribe, as well as old favorites like Black Nite Crash and Tokyoidaho.
Also involved in securing this year’s talent were newly formed local labels BIG BLDG RCRDS and Freakout Records, which led to bands joining the bill from Tacoma to Bellingham to California. Deets and bands below.
