Interview: Ian MacKaye of Fugazi

by on September 21st, 2003 | No Comments »

Ian MacKaye leaves a very friendly message on his answering machine. He has to. The man is never home. Whether he’s producing French Toast, going to shows, or spending time with his parents, he’s constantly on the go. This also isn’t your standard NadaMucho.com interview. The man thinks about the world and life and is highly articulate.

Interview: The Mistreaters

Sybil Rohlf – I miss Milwaukee. Having lived on the west coast for only a year, I still longingly remember the city’s seedy neighborhood bars, unbearably smoky coffee shops, and wealth of creative young people. I also miss the music, the music of the Mistreaters in particular. Gritty and grimy, dirty and loud, their songs get under your skin and stay there for days – much like what the city has done to my subconscious.

Interview: Jay Farrar

Julie Borovik – I’m gonna come right out and say it. Interviewing Jay Farrar, (you know, “the other guy” in Uncle Tupelo), was my dream come true. I own everything he’s ever done and have sang my heart out in the shower with him for nearly ten years.
