Matt Ashworth – Black Nite Crash are a band from Seattle. They play fuzzy, melodic rock songs that we like very much. In fact, we like their songs so much we went ahead and booked them as the headliners for our first monthly “NadaMucho.com Presents” show at the EMP Liquid Lounge.
Sometimes it doesn’t seem fair. Every time we think we’ve got a handle on the majority of the talented individuals releasing good music here in Seattle, another one pops up and bites us in the collective ass, leaving us wondering how they slipped beneath our powerful radar.
Todd Arkley – Here’s the problem. This Black Heart is Gonna Break works and doesn’t work. I became engaged with it, I loved it, I wanted to be its new friend from first to last track. Pat Kearns, credited with all the lyrics and music, knows his effects, his melodies, his pop, his emotions and his drugs.
Gabe Baker – Warren Zevon is dead and I’m feeling grand. I’m not happy he’s dead, mind you. It’s just that he’s not one of the handful of people whose death I’d give a fuck about. And I know Zevon’s ghost ain’t sweating it.
