Will Wagler – For a rock musician, David Bazan – who is Pedro the Lion – seems to lead an ordinary life. Weeknights he usually stays at home with his wife. They sit inside and read. Or they go for walks around the lake in his neighborhood.
AmyLynnWow – So there I was, brazen, wanna-be rock journalist with no press credentials and no back stage pass – the bespectacled ogre of a bouncer informed me that she “Really didn’t give a fuck” that I was there to interview Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes.

She is the wife of lead singer/songwriter Robert Schneider, and recently became mother to their child – just to get that connection out of the way – but she is also one of the most kick-ass of modern indie-pop drummers around.

Born with a voice forged from diamonds, she’s just as comfortable belting out a tear-in-your-beer honky-tonk number as she is tackling the intricacies of jazz vocals.
