Patrick Galactic – The Spider Ferns: husband/wife duo, purveyors of dark, fever-dreamy grooves and noted forest dwellers, have been steadily mining new sonic terrain since their inception.

Lindsey Potter – I last ventured to the Capitol Hill Block Party (CHBP) in 2014. I was so pumped for the music that I forgot the other attraction: people watching. I must admit it’s one of my favorite pass times (less in the creeper status way and more in the introverted only child kind of way).
By Nick Anderson – Capitol Hill Block Party is twenty years old and it’s never looked better. Total cliche, but I figure if I follow it with another, maybe they’ll cancel each other out.
Gary Horn – Pleasures kicked off the July 7 show at the Chop Suey with a series of happy and wandering (yet pleasingly tight) songs. Relying on clean, harmonized guitar riffs, the band delivered groovy, unpretentious tunes you’d imagine echoing across college campuses throughout America.
Gary Horn – Dirty Dirty’s “Isochronism” video does not have a storyline, expensive backdrops or professional actors. Instead, it relies on Ian Forrester’s (vox/guitar) and Mark Knowles’ (drums) driving intensity, capturing their electro-industrial rock energy in a raw and unfiltered fashion.
