Premiere: Eastern Souvenirs’ “Begin Again”

Posted by April 24th, 2015 2 Comments »

Eastern Souvenirs, the vehicle for Seattle singer/songwriter Brian Fisher, makes intricate, percussive music with guitar, synthesizers and a variety of percussion instruments from around the world. It’s the kind of stuff that typically has fans of Talking Heads and the Feelies creaming in their art school shorts, carefully walking the line between “poetically lovely” and “insufferably pretentious.”

The band popped on to our radar when Big BLDG Bash announced their 2015 lineup, so we thought it would be appropriate to debut their brand new song, “Begin Again,” which Fisher says is about “moving into the next stage of life friends moving away, getting married, having your lifestyle change and needing to re-figure out yourself in this new context.”

Big BLDG Bash happens June 6 in Seattle. Tickets are still available.
