Treefort Music Fest 2018
March 21-25, 2018
Boise, ID

In case you hadn’t heard, the Treefort Music Fest is kind of a big deal.

Now in it’s SEVENTH year, Idaho’s capital city will be teeming when the fest kicks off on Wednesday because, unlike most music festivals, this one includes other “forts” that cater to comedy, film, kids, yoga and others. In fact, over 450 musicians/bands/DJs/acts will perform over a 5-day span in downtown Boise.

In the interest of this preview, we’ll focus only on the music because that’s where we’ll be spending our time there later this week.

So here’s the bad news: with about 20 stages simultaneously active, it’s going to be difficult to prioritize acts. The good news is that it probably doesn’t matter – the talent is so deep it will blow everyone’s minds. I’m most excited to see the PNW bands who make us proud: Thunderpussy, Hobosexual, Built to Spill, Treepeople (a reunion show!), Kinski, WIMPS, Blackwater Holylight and Kelli Schaefer. I’ve also heard good things about Yonatan Gat and Andrew W.K. If you’re unable to make it, don’t sweat it. We’re covering each day of the festival and will do our best to keep you updated with words and photos on our Instagram and Twitter accounts, as well as this here blog. Stay tuned!
