Mike Spine – Ahmed and I walked a hot mile into town yesterday from the sleeping spot and caught a goofy Austin band called Wicked Pro Wrestler on a porch. Then we caught a bit of a Swedish showcase that didn’t move me while waiting for San Diego instrumental metalish band Earthless with special guest J. Mascis from Dinosaur Jr.

Greetings race fans. My name is Mike Spine and for the next five days I will be doing my best to offer you my perspective on the legendary music festival in Austin, TX known as South by Southwest.
Tyson Lynn – Conor Byrne was the first place Hey Marseilles played, but that’s not quite true. To be honest, they weren’t called anything really. You paid your cover by a sign that said The Matt Bishop Project. It’s what they offered up to the venue when they booked the gig.
Graham Isaac – “You don’t really go for blondes, do you?” my sister accurately observed on her recent visit. With that in mind, I knew seeing Ladytron in Bristol wasn’t going to be a bad idea. Plus, it’d been a few months since my last gig and I was ready to be icily electropopped.
