Andy Bookwalter – When I was a kid, Pioneer Square seemed like a magical grownup party wonderland. There were bars on every corner and a joint cover, so for a few bucks you could hang out in any of the 1000 clubs… every single one of them featuring live music from Jr. Cadillac. Every once in a while, we’d drive in from the sticks so my parents could look at art or something, and, after the sun went down, the whole area that hosted the 2017 Upstream! Music Festival sparkled with what I now know was 100 percent hobo pee.

Nick Anderson – I’m leaning against a tree that must have been old when my father first ventured into Occidental Park. A pretty girl bought me a beer and told me she doesn’t know what to expect; it’s her first day working at the Comedy Underground and while she’s looking forward to the money, she has no idea what the crowd is going to be like. She’s cautiously optimistic, which seems to be the prevailing mood.

Partially deafened and commonly seen in dark, mono-tonal attire, Seattle-based photographers Travis Trautt and Jake Hanson have been capturing moments from local shows and festivals for the past three years. We’ve been fortunate enough to feature the digital fruits of these labors regularly on NadaMucho.com, so it seemed only natural that we’d support the duo’s first foray in to the physical realm.
